Become a Funeral Service Professional

Join the Camilleri Funeral  Directors Franchise Programme

Have you ever considered becoming a funeral service professional? The Camilleri Funeral Directors (CFD) Franchise programme is a great new opportunity for keen and motivated individuals looking for a rewarding career in the funeral service profession.  We are looking for young, driven individuals wishing to startup their own independent career, under the wing of a long established leader in the funeral service sector.

Our vision is to change the whole funeral planning experience and people’s perception of visiting a funeral director.  Out with the dark wood panels and gloomy feeling offices. All our funeral directors and office locations are to make grieving families feel welcome, understood and cared for in a professional manner.

Why become a Funeral Service Professional?

Contrary to popular perception, becoming a funeral director can be a very satisfying and rewarding career. Apart from the financial benefits and flexible hours (allowing to combine with other work), funeral directors enjoy:

  • The satisfaction of helping grieving families in their time of need.
  • The creation of friendships during the funeral organisation process.
  • The gratitude, positive feedback and referrals received from satisfied clients.
  • The flexible working hours which can be combined with other career prospects.
  • The progressive financial rewards which will depend entirely on your own efforts.

When I initially started to help out in my family’s business at the age of 18, I admit feeling no attraction to this line of work. I joined as it was a family profession and felt compelled to help out until I found my own path and career of choice.

Now 25 years later, still a funeral director, I look back and understand why my ancestors found this profession so rewarding. There is no greater satisfaction than knowing your efforts have helped others in their time of need. The gratitude received by families combined with the friendships created as a result of the guidance and support provided throughout the process, from planning to completion, is priceless.

The work has its drawbacks like having to assist during uncomfortable hours however the job satisfaction and financial reward make it all worthwhile.
